URCS Visual Identity 〰️

As a graphic design and marketing intern for the Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship I created the office’s first visual identity supervised by a faculty mentor and my manager.

As the Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship was expanding, they desired to have a cohesive visual identity for the first time. As their graphic design intern, I was given the opportunity to create a visual identity from scratch. I conducted research to understand the market and competitors at other schools. I also worked in tandem with the graphic design professor who gave me direction on steps and procedures in the creative process. I gained experience creating iterations of logos and styles until the correct form for the brand was found. I also learned about working with marketing companies and speaking about graphic design to those not in the field as I prepared mockups and presentations.

The visual identity I created includes a color palette, logo variations, and typefaces for the office.
